For 27 years, the Alexander City Jazz Festival Committee has presented a variety of performers during a two-day, FREE outdoor event held each June. Past performers have included: Zac Brown, The Lowrider Band, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Kelley Hunt, Delbert McClinton, Los Lonely Boys, Taj Mahal, Bela Fleck, Jon Cleary, Wet Willie, JJ Gray plus many other outstanding entertainers.
The traditional Friday night street party will be held on June 8 beginning at 6 p.m. at Strand Park in downtown Alexander City. The Saturday night concert will take place at Lake Martin Amphitheater on Highway 63 on June 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
At the Friday night event in Strand Park, tables and chairs will be provided for sponsors. A contest for best decorated table and best food presentation part will be conducted. Cash prizes will be awarded best in each category. Bring your own food and beverage or purchase them from various vendors supporting the Jazz Fest.
On Saturday evening, everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to listen to great music in the beautiful setting of the Lake Martin Amphitheater. Bring along a picnic supper or enjoy delicious refreshments from the food and beverage vendors. Sponsors will also receive parking passes for close and convenient parking at Strand Park and the Amphitheater.
Over the years, the Alexander City Jazz Fest has earned the reputation of one of the best-run events in the state. More than 10,000 attend the free two-day concert. We could not accomplish this without the generous support of our sponsors and friends.
Join us for a fun, music-filled weekend and show your support of the only free jazz festival in the State of Alabama.
